Kind Words from Jennifer Rothschild

How we met…

I met Jennifer and her husband, Dr. Phil, at the Proverbs 31 She Speaks Conference in 2009. She was superstar, yet so approachable. I won a door prize at her session and signed up for womensminstry.net, which they founded to equip women in ministry to lead well. This chance encounter led to wonderful friendships with Jennifer, Dr. Phil, and the WM staff – and an invitation to write for her ministry.

Jennifer’s belief in me and the opportunity she generously gave me was foundational in the growth of The Neighborhood Café ministry and publication of How to Love Your Neighbor Without Being Weird. Her endorsement of Can I Borrow a Cup of Hope? is an added blessing, and I am grateful!

“I have known Amy Lively for many years, and I have got to say, this lady is the real thing. She doesn’t just write about living with hope and loving your neighbor, she lives every word she writes. You’ll see what I mean in Can I Borrow a Cup of Hope? Amy serves as a wise guide and companion on your journey to rediscover the hope that Jesus brings.”

I can’t wait to see it myself, Wendy – my first peek at a printed copy should arrive next week! And if you’re talking about Jennifer’s book, it’s probably even more amazing than mine. 😉

It was a blessing, privilege, and challenge to go with Amy from her sharing the ideas of this book w/ her church ladies in Colorado, to being on the manuscript team, to endorsing the finished book, and soon to be sharing it w/ our Neighborhood Cafe. You go, girl! Love you, Amy!

This book sounds so relevant! We as women are often so hard on ourselves and say things to ourselves that we would never say to a dear friend! Sounds wonderful, Amy! I love how the Lord joined your paths together! 💗

Oh, if our self-directed thoughts were spoken aloud, what a mess that would be! Jennifer’s book certainly redirects that conversation.

Both of these books sound amazing. The mental game of self talk is tough. We can do easily get sucked into negativity or doubt.

It’s SO easily to get tricked into that game! Jennifer’s book is an excellent turn toward truth.
